Job Role

The purpose of this role is to carry out fraud investigations. This could be within the civil service or within a bank analysing accounts and savings accounts. The role of a fraud data analyst would include involve supporting fraud investigators in the preparation of evidence, information collection, planning and analysis. Some fraud data analysts would be expected to analyse some complex data and prepare detailed reports. These candidates would most likely earn towards the higher end of the expected salary.

Person Specification

An audit, banking or financial investigations background would be ideal as you be expected to analyse quite a lot of financial data. Good communication, investigation and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Access and other analytical software tools (such as SAS) would be benefitical. Sometimes other specific software might be required and this could be company or industry specific. Some employers would expect a numerate degree or equivalent.

Expected Salary

£25,000 - £33,000 but can be higher in a competitive market.
